Mary Alice Manning Garlington

Mary Alice Manning Garlington, age 94 of Fordyce died Monday, November 25, 2024 at Greenhouse Cottages in Rison, Arkansas. She was born August 21, 1930 in Sparkman, Arkansas. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she was the pianist for over 65 years. She is preceded in death her parents, Bert Manning and Linnie Ritter Manning; husband, Homer Garlington; three brothers, O’Ferrel Manning, Max Manning, J.B. Manning; and one sister, Ila Mae Garlington. Alice is survived by two sons, Ronnie (Kay) Garlington of Ivan, Larry (Donna) Garlington of Ivan; one daughter, Angela (Darrin) Smith of Fort Smith; two brothers, Donald Manning of Pierce City, MO, Murphy Manning of Sparkman; seven grandchildren, Jenny (Captain) Smead of Hope, Lindsey (Eric) Flemming of Fordyce, Leigha (Chris) Workman of Fordyce, Abby (Donaven) Sims of Bryant, Amy (Michael) Neathery of Bryant, Brady Smith of Fort Smith and Madison Smith of Fort Smith; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Temple Baptist Church in Fordyce. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Darrin Smith officiating.
