Marvin E. Potter, 77, of Fordyce, died Sunday September 27, 2009 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. Mr. Potter was born in Wagoner, OK on July 27, 1932 to the late Joseph Randolph & Ada Bell Haley Potter. He was a Baptist & a retired technician for Canteen Vending Service Company.
Mr. Potter is survived by his wife Bonnie Jordan Potter, two sons, Mike Potter & his wife Debbie of Shannon Hills, AR, Charles Potter & his wife Sheila of Fordyce, AR; two daughters, Jackie Edrington of Benton, AR, Carolyn Amerson & her husband Dave of Conway, AR; three brothers, John Potter of Bryant, AR, Donald Potter of Wagoner, OK, David Potter of Wagoner, OK; a sister, Mary Stringfellow of McGehee, Ar; thirteen grandchildren, & six great grandchildren. Mr. Potter was preceded in death by his three brothers, J.R, Herman, & Ted Potter, a sister, Sylvia Bogle; & a son in-law, Dan Edrignton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery, with the Rev. B.L. Blann officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce.
