Martha Russell, 85, of Camden died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. She was born December 17, 1928 in Tinsman, Arkansas. She was a member of Maul Community Baptist Church. Martha was the first elected female judge of Ouachita County serving along with her husband in 1983 and 1984. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Frank Biggers and Dove Jones Biggers, husbands, Herman Calaway and Howard Russell; grandson, Jason Starr; son-in-law, Donald Starr; one sister and three brothers. She is survived by one son, Ronny Russell and wife Penney of Star City; three daughters, Margaret Molton and husband Don, Linda Starr, and Lisa Smith and husband John all of Camden; six grandchildren, Greg Russell of Pine Bluff, Michelle Campbell of White Hall, Kenneth Starr, Kimberly Smith, Kayla Smith and Krystal Smith all of Camden; several great grandchildren; and lifelong friend, Madeline Mann of Camden. Visitation will be Friday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Camden. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Carley Davis and Rev.
