Martha C. Nix

Martha C. "Clodell" Nix, 74, of Fort Worth, TX, died Tuesday November 17, 2009 at the Universal Hospice in Fort Worth, TX. She was born in Roosevelt, OK on November 7, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents, S.A. Wallis and Maebell Hendrix Wallis; husband, G. R. "Buck" Nix; five brothers, Harley, William, Vermon, Clovis and Duffy Wallis; two sisters, Edith and Jewel.

She is survived by her two sons, Sam & Tom Nix of Fort Worth, TX; a daughter, Sheila Nix of Fort Worth, TX; three grandchildren, Michael Nix, a paratrooper in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC, John Nix, a helicopter pilot in the United States Army 1st Cavalry Division, currently in Iraq, Tina Nix of Fort Worth, TX; & a great grandson, Matthew Nix of Fayeteville, NC, granddaughter-in-law, Alunya; two sisters, Odessa and Amoleta, one brother, Olen and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday November 20, 2009 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery with the Rev. Stacy Reed officiating.
