Martha "Jean" Morgan

Martha "Jean" Morgan, age 91 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of New Edinburg, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, April 29, 2013. Jean was a member of First Baptist Concord and she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of New Edinburg, Arkansas prior to moving to Knoxville in January 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband W.J. Morgan; daughter-in-law, Lanelle Morgan, granddaughter, Lori Nichols; grandson Jason Thompson; great grandson, Casey Bowen; great great grandson Aiden Bowen; brothers, Dr. Sidney Frey and Kenneth Frey.

Jean is survived by her children, Evelyn Bowen and husband Watt of New Edinburg, Larry Morgan and wife Betty of Fordyce, and Virginia Mann of Knoxville, Tennessee; surviving grandchildren, Sonny Bowen, Dean Bowen, Shelia Towery, and Rosie Pierce, all of New Edinburg, Lisa Nutt of Fordyce and Bart Thompson of Katy, Texas; 14 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church in New Edinburg. Graveside services will be 10 AM on Saturday, May 4th at Smith Morgan Cemetery with Rev. Tony Atkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of New Edinburg, c/o Shelia Towery, 1240 Mount Lebanon Road, New Edinburg, Arkansas 71660.
