Martha Lewis Jordan

Martha Lewis Meece Jordan, 89 of Logansport, LA, formerly of Fordyce, died Friday, October 19, 2018. She was born April 15, 1929 in Fordyce, Arkansas to the late Martin Lewis Meece and Nora Ethel Gill Meece. She had lived in Logansport for the last 20 years and was a member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas Newton Jordan, her son Thomas “Tommy” Anthony Jordan, two grandsons David and Shannon Jordan, four sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by four children, Alma Ruth Henderson of Fordyce, Gaylon Louise (Ron) Ricketts of Panama City, Florida, Lewis Newton (Edna) Jordan of Fordyce, Nora Elizabeth “Beth” (Ricky) Cash of Logansport, Louisiana; ten grandchildren: Greg Johnson, Cindy Johnson, Lisa Etheridge, Rhonda Anthony, Glenda Anthony, Jennifer Dillard, Jamie Jordan, Joshua Jordan, Amanda Parker, Travis Cash; and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are 2PM Monday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Stoney Point Cemetery. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
