Martha Sue Holmes

Martha Sue “Mam's” Holmes, 57, of Bearden died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at her home. She was born April 27, 1961 in Camden, Arkansas. She was a lead inspector for Aero Jet. She is preceded in death by her father, Rayburn Douglas Dorey; and husband, Gerald “Jerry” Holmes. She is survived by one son, Jeremy (Stefanie) Holmes of Bearden; one daughter, Jena Holmes of Jacksonville; her mother, Jeanie Dorey of Bearden; one brother, Clifton Humphries of Bearden; three sisters, Carolyn Beaver of Locust Bayou, Becky Newton of Bearden, Lisa Lewis of Alexander; one grandchild, Kenedee Holmes of Bearden; and special friends, Bill and Barbara Holsted of Star City. Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Salem Cemetery near Bearden with Rev. Jacob Ricker officiating.
