Martha Ree Carter

Martha Ree “Mott” Carter, 66, of Hensley went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her home. She was born June 18, 1952 in Camden, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Poole; one sister, Brenda Poole; and one granddaughter, Ashley Carter. She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Phil Carter of Hensley; one son, John (Jessica) Carter of Cabot; one daughter, Penny Michelle Howard of East End; her mother, Myrtle Harris Poole of Camden; two sisters, Becky Williams and Paula Long of Little Rock; eight grandchildren, Cody Carter, Graci Carter, Ashton Carter of Little Rock, Austin Howard, Savannah Howard and Natalie Howard of East End, Haley Elliott and Hannah Weeks of Cabot; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Monday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. David Dillard officiating.
