Marie Horne Grace Cooper Hodnett of Fordyce died August 13, 2009 at St. John's Place in Fordyce, Arkansas. She was born October 20, 1924 in Sparkman, Arkansas to the late Mae Roberts Horne and Otis D. Horne. Mrs. Hodnett was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, husband Ernest Grace, Sr., sons Infant Grace and Ernest Grace, Jr. and stepfather Walter McMullen. Also by her brothers Samuel B. Horne, Otis D. Horne, Jr. and William S. Horne. Mrs. Hodnett is survived by her husband, Jim Hodnett of Fordyce, daughter, Jaunice Cruce and husband Charles of New Edinburg and daughter-in-law, Betty Grace also of New Edinburg. She is also survived by one sister, Irene (Sunny) Johnson of Little Rock, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hodnett was a graduate of Sparkman High School and later owned and operated a business in Fordyce. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and granny to her family and will be greatly missed by all. She had a quick wit and infectious smile.

Mrs. Hodnett will be cremated. A family visitation will be held from 6pm until 7pm Friday August 14th at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Watson Cemetery Association in Tinsman, Arkansas.
