Margaret L West

Margaret L. West, 89, of Benton died Wednesday April 3, 2019. Born August 17, 1929 in Kingsland, AR, she was the daughter of the late William A. Word and Birdie Marie Puterbaugh Word.
Ms. West was a retired technical publicist for Hugh’s Aircraft. Ms. West was baptized at Bearden First United Methodist Church and considered that her home church forever. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth West and Gene Davenport; son, Jerry A. West, sister, Florence Smith; brother, J.E. Word; sister-in-law, Joyce West Hearn; great-granddaughter, Ashley West; daughter-in-law, Angela West.
Survivors include son, Robert N. West of Benton; sister, Sheila Mauldin of Camden; sister-in-law, Betty Word of Bearden; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Burial is Friday April 5 at Oakland Cemetery. Memorial services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday April 6, 2019 at The Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce, AR with Steven Word officiating.
