Marcell Gilliam Sessions

Marcell Gilliam Sessions, 86, of Fordyce died Thursday December 7, 2023 at her home. Born February 1, 1937 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Virgil David Trammel and Maggie Elizabeth Dyer Trammel.
She was a member of Fordyce First Baptist Church and worked at Fordyce Apparel, Fordyce Picture Frame and Turner-Lyon Folder over the years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles Franklin Gilliam and Roy Wesley Sessions; a son, Charles Randall Gilliam; daughter-in-law, Sandy Gilliam; sister and brother-in-law, Ella Faye and Bobby Balentine and sister, Elsie Trammel
She is survived by two grandsons, Jeremy Gilliam of Kingsland and Eli Gilliam and wife Heather of Fordyce; step-daughter, Sarah Dietly and husband John Mark; a number of great-grandchildren; niece and caregiver, Cathy Balentine of Fordyce; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday December 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday December 15 at Ebenezer Cemetery with Rev. Michael Ivy officiating.
