Lynne Sheppard Burford

Lynne Sheppard Burford, 84 of Kingsland died Wednesday January 8, 2020 at her home. Born February 6, 1935 at Loraine, TX, she was a daughter of the late Bertrand Sheppard and Velma Jackson Sheppard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Mardell Sheppard; two sisters, Arlene Davis, LaRue Powell; and a son, Randy Darden. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy R. Burford of Kingsland; two daughters, Debbie Crites of Cypress, TX and Vicki Rangeley of Corpus Christi, TX; son, Rick Darden of Corpus Christi, TX ; sister, Maxie Scifres of Normal, IL; six grandchildren, Shelley Crites-Gilbert, John Crites, Jr. , Melissa Darden, Monica Darden-Burleson, Colton Rangeley, Nicole Rangeley; and great-grandchild Cody Crites.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Canada (Kennedy) Cemetery.
