Lula Merle Crowder

Lula Merle Crowder, 89, of Fordyce, AR, died Thursday May 31, 2012 at the Dallas County Medical Center. She was born in Dallas County, AR, on August 12, 1922 to the late Johnce & Delia Barnes Green. Mrs. Crowder was a cashier at Sam Nutts Grocery store, & a member of the Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Fordyce.

She is survived by her son, Randy Crowder, & his wife Ginger of Pine Bluff, AR; a sister, Paulette Harper of Fordyce, AR; four grandchildren, John Crowder & his wife Karen of West Fork, AR, Pam Montgomery & her husband Mike of North Little Rock, AR, Dr. Jamie Spann & his wife Monita of FT. Smith, AR, Michelle Crowder; three great grandchildren, Michael Crowder & his wife Lindsey of Benton, AR, Nicole Crowder of West Fork, AR, & Kelly Montgomery of North Little Rock, AR. Mrs. Crowder was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Albert Crowder, & three brothers, Bill, Barty, & Bobby Green.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday June 5, 2012 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery, with the Rev. Nathan Petty officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
