Louis Jackson Porter, 78 of Tinsman died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 29, 1929 in Hampton, Arkansas. Mr. Porter was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He attended Tinsman First Baptist Church and was a retired engineer for the Fordyce and Princeton Railroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Jack Porter and Lola Mae Moore Porter and brother J.D. Porter. He is survived by his wife, Eva Davis Porter of Tinsman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Martha Porter of Tinsman, Darrell "Waynie" and Shirley Porter of Smackover; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Ronnie Duncan of Hampton; two brothers, Walter "Bud" Porter and Larry Joe Porter both of Pine Bluff; one sister, Jeanette Helton of Dumas; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Tinsman First Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Porter, Rev.
