Louis Edward Gunter

Louis Edward Gunter, 70, of Carthage died Wednesday June 11, 2025 at UAMS in Little Rock. Born October 3, 1954 in Dallas County, AR he was a son of the late Ruby Lee Jones and James “Blue” Letbetter. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Michael Ray Letbetter, Christopher Letbetter, Florence Marie Gunter, Joyce Rainey and Curtis Letbetter.

He is survived by four children, Sean Gunter of McKinney, TX, Letitia Walker of Rison, Chastity Clegg of Portland, OR, Alisha “Sha” Gunter of Dallas, TX; seven siblings, Erma Johnson, Isola Cranford, Frank James Letbetter, Hosea Letbetter, Rodney Letbetter, Lola Faye McGhee, Stella Letbetter; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday June 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce, with funeral services following at 11:00 at the chapel.
