Lois Alene Hopper Word, age 83, of Camden, AR passed from this life on Friday Nov. 7, 2008 at Ouachita Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1925 in Harrell, AR, the daughter of
Floyd Preston Hopper and Emily Irene Gilbert Hopper. She was a licensed hairdresser and owner of Word's Motel & Beauty shop in Hampton, AR for many years.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Loyd Otis Word, her parents, and three brothers, J.C., Charles, and Kenneth Joe Hopper, and one sister Bonnie Dove Hopper.
Lois is survived by her loving daughter, Deborah Ann Word, of Camden, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m on Sunday Nov. 9, 2008.
Graveside services will be held on Monday Nov. 10, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Campground Cemetery in Hampton under the direction of Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce, AR. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
