Linda Gayle Jacobs

Linda Gayle Porter Jacobs, 70, of Fordyce died Monday, July 18, 2011 at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. She was born August 24, 1940 in Jacksboro, Texas. She was a retired police officer for the Fordyce City Police and a member of First United Methodist Church in Fordyce. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Porter and Winnie Eatherly Young. She is survived by her husband, Joe Jacobs, of Fordyce; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sonya and David Holman of Hallsville, TX, Nancy and Ronnie Schwin of Prattsville; five grandchildren, Madison, Haley and Payton Holman of Hallsville, TX, Jessica Schwin and Will Schwin both of Prattsville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Fordyce or to the American Cancer Society. Memorial services will be 10:00 am Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Fordyce with Rev. John Fimple officiating. Burial at Stoney Point Cemetery.
