Linda Lou Teater Hopper

Linda Lou Teater Hopper, 85, of Camden, Arkansas, passed away January 22, 2026, following a brief illness.

She was born November 28, 1940, in Hampton, Arkansas, to Leon Ralph “Leroy” Teater and Ida Lee Bryant Teater. She was married to Charles Laverne Hopper, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Lynn Hopper of Camden and Michael Hopper (Laura) of Conway; and two grandsons, Joshua and Jonah Hopper of Conway. She is also survived by nieces Debora Word of Camden, Susan Johnston (Steve) of Hampton, Rebecca Silliman (David) of Camden, and Kristi Teater Manning of Gulf Shores, Alabama; nephews Steven Teater and Rusty Hopper of Hampton; as well as numerous great-, great-great-, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, along with many cousins.

Linda was active in the Calhoun County and Ouachita County Genealogy Society and the Tate’s Bluff Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. In retirement, she devoted extensive time to researching and documenting the histories of the Bryant, Teater, Hopper, Gilbert, and related families. She was also a frequent volunteer at the Camden Daffodil Festival.

There will be a visitation starting at 1pm, January 31, 2026 at the Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hampton followed by services at 2pm with Rev. Mike Nutt officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
