Lillie Jane Coats

Lillie Jane Coats, 66, of Fordyce died Saturday August 8, 2015 at her home. Born September 7, 1948 at Warren, she was a daughter of the late J. D. Norman and Maureen Gardner Childers. She was a member of the Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Annette Grice; a grandson, Thomas Wolfe; a brother, Sam Norman; two sisters, Willeen Strickland, Vicki Reed. She is survived by her husband, Donald Coy Coats of Fordyce; five sons, Rodney Grice of Bryant, Bruce Grice of New Edinburg, Keith Grice of New Edinburg, John Coats of Warren, Donald Coats of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Brandy Coats Wolfe of Warren; three sisters, Fonda Jennings of El Dorado, Phyllis Erwin of Fordyce, Renea Talley of Fordyce; twenty one grandchildren and special friend Ethan Matkin. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church with Rev.
