Lerfon Ray Purifoy, 66, of Bearden died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. He was born August 7, 1945 in Union County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Ruth Purifoy and Alta Mae Earl Purifoy; wife, Helen Purifoy; infant son, John Wayne Purifoy; infant daughter, Shirley Jean Purifoy; brothers, Alvis Purifoy and Irvin Purifoy, Jr.; sisters, Freda Parker and Syble Rogers. He is survived by two brothers, Ernest Purifoy and Bobby Ray Purifoy both of Bearden; one sister, Estella Todd of Fordyce. Services will be private. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
