Leola B. Mckinney

Leola McKinney, 97, of Fordyce died Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. She was born January 12, 1911 in Lawton, OK to the late Carlee and Myra Reed Brown. She was a homemaker and an Assembly of God. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Carolyn McKinney of Kingsland; two daughters, Wanda Bryant of Kingsland, Judy McMullen and her husband, Phil of Sparkman; three sisters, Ethel Funderburg and Nila Faye Lackey of Pine Bluff, Joyce Weeks of Fordyce; two brothers, E.C. Brown of MO, Glenn Brown of OK; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen D. McKinney; son-in-law, Thomas Bryant, great-grandson, August Bryant; three sisters, Esther Mae Crain,Velma Vanice Word and Mary Louise Brown; and two brothers, Marvin Woodrow Brown and Raymond Wildon Brown. Visitation will be Monday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10:00am Tuesday at Kingsland Cemetery with Rev. Lewis Langley officiating.
