Leland Eldridge Huffman

Leland Eldridge Huffman, known as L.E., 85 of Fordyce, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009. He was born March 15, 1923 in Belmont, MS to the late Charles Arthur and Mary Harris Huffman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Imogene Miles Huffman. He was a member of the Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge # 363. He was retired from the Fordyce Fire Department.
He was also preceded in death by five sisters, Lillie Hamilton, Arie Taylor, Lola Attaberry, Alma Smith, Ella Dudley Trotter, and two brothers, Lee and Jess Huffman.
He is survived by his daughter Lelan Ann Huffman Wallace and husband Paul of Fordyce; grandchildren, Gene Paul Wallace and wife Michelle of Springdale, AR and Gina Wallace Johnson and husband Andy of Fordyce; great grandchildren, Josh and Bailee Wallace and Cole and Samantha Johnson.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 AM at Beech Grove Baptist Church in Fordyce with Rev. Roger Copeland and Rev. Nathan Petty officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
