Lee Ophelia Sanders Barker, 94 of Kingsland, died Friday, December 31, 2010. She was born January 4, 1916 in Macon, Mississippi to the late James O. and Bertha Rogers Sanders. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Barker; daughter, Faye Bruch; and sister, Dorothy Lindsey.
She is survived by three daughters, Lee Klappenbach and husband Norm of Kingsland, Mary Bradford and husband Johnny of Fordyce, Ann Benefield of Little Rock; son-in-law Forrest Bruch, Sr. of Spring, Texas, brother, James Sanders of Sherwood; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to offer special thanks to The Hospice Angels of Pine Bluff and to St. John's Place in Fordyce for their tremendous and loving care for Mrs. Barker.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be at Kingsland Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
