Larry Alton Evans, a beloved resident of Junction City, Louisiana passed away at the age of 75, peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones November 1, 2024.
Larry deeply loved the Lord. He cherished his family, and enjoyed fishing with his buddies.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Stewart Byrd Evans and Edna Grace McGuire Evans; one son, Denny Alton Evans; three brothers, Tommy Evans, Wayland Evans, Billy Jack Evans; five sisters, Lynn Keowen, Mary Beth Chambliss, Grace Bradshaw, Maxine Martin, and Lola Mae Clemons.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Hollie Byrd Evans of Junction City, LA; one daughter, Tonya (Toby) Wilson of Junction City, LA; one brother, Gary (Linda) Evans of Junction City, AR; two sisters, Louanne Crawford Moore of Camden, Joyce (Tommy) Key of Ward; one brother-in-law, Larry Martin of El Dorado; one sister-in-law, Syble Evans of Modesta, CA; four grandchildren, Christopher (Carrie) Miller of Spearsville, LA, Savannah (John) Miller of El Dorado, Stephanie (J.R.) Horton of Farmersville, LA, Misty (Will) McDonald of Bernice, LA; twelve great grandchildren, Chloe, Lakin, Lilli, McKenzie, Ashton, Denver, Finley, Presley, Quentin, Madison, and Raelyn.
Visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Murmil Baptist Church, 203 Beacon Hill Drive, El Dorado, AR 71730. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Murmil Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Clemons and Rev. Tim Hogue officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery near Bearden.
