Julian Charles "Red" King, 81, of Thornton, died Thursday December 1, 2011 at the Dallas County Medical Center. Mr. King was born in New Edinburg, AR, on September 9, 1930 to the late Charlie Clayton & Dolly Lephiew King. He was a retired utility worker for Georgia-Pacific, & a Baptist.
He is survived by his two sons, Eric King & wife Melissa of Thornton, AR, Tommy King of Camden, AR; a daughter, Vicki Ward of Thornton, AR; three brothers, Hubert "Tink" King of Dumas, AR, Buddy King of Fordyce, AR, Big Bud King of Fordyce, AR; six sisters, Dahlia Belgard of Fordyce, AR, Patsy Graves of Pineville, AR, Mary Thompson of Natchitches, LA, Lucille Aymond of DeVille, LA, Charlene Porter of Gallatin, TN, Patricia Brown of Henderson, TN; five grandchildren, Samantha Sweet, Andrew, Matthew, Ashley, & Zachary King; & one great grandchild. Mr. King was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathrine Bradley King, a daughter, Evelyn King, two great grandchildren, Jayden & Jonah Swett, a brother, Little Bud King, & a sister, Juanita Krumrey.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Saturday December 3, 2011 at the Wheeler Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce.
