Juanita Clydell Parker, 75, of Hampton, AR passed away in El Dorado, AR on July 17, 2022. Clydell was born in Bastrop, LA on May 11, 1947 to Nettie Louise and Byron Henry Reynolds.
Clydell left Louisiana in 1967 to move to Arkansas. This is where she met her first husband, JD Sparkman. Clydell and JD enjoyed traveling to the Gulf Coast and California. After their daughter Bridget was born, Clydell began working at Jacket King as a seamstress. Clydell left Jacket King to open a child-care center in her home and be a personal dressmaker for many clients and friends. In 1983, Clydell decided to complete her education and graduated in 1985 from Southern Arkansas University Tech with a degree in computer programming. Clydell then took a job at First Federal Savings & Loan. Clydell continued working for the Savings and Loan until her husband, JD Sparkman, was unable to take care of himself due to having a stroke. Clydell continued to care for JD until his passing in 1994. Clydell then used her acquired nursing skills to become a Home Health Nurse. After some medical issues, Clydell began working out in “the area” as a security guard and later as a quality specialist. This is where she met Richard Parker her current husband.
Clydell is survived by her husband, Richard Parker; her daughter, Bridget Morris and husband Russell, her step-daughters, Valerie Parker (Doug) and Tiffany Nutt and husband Lance; her grandchildren, Gunner May and wife Brenda, McKaley Wallace and husband Jesse, Emma Grace and Henry Nutt; her great-grand child, Elijah Wayne Davis; her brother Byron Henry Reynolds, Jr.; and niece Tina Ezell and husband Bubby. Clydell was preceded in death by her parents, Byron Henry and Nettie Louise Reynolds; siblings Ralph Reynolds, Tiny Mae Hammonds, Bertha Wilson, Gary Reynolds and husbands JD Sparkman and Sonny Ezell.
She loved sewing, cooking, riding on Rosie and fishing in her pond.
Memorial services will be held at Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce, AR on Saturday, July 23rd at 11 am. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit
