Juanita Dunn, 92, of Hampton, AR died Sunday, February 1, 2009. Juanita was born April 22, 1916 in Clarks, LA, a daughter of the late Thomas Vanna Blake and Bertha DePriest Blake.
She was a homemaker, she worked for Jacket King, now DM Apparel and was a member of Faustina Methodist Church. To her children she was a wonderful mother, loved her family, always trying to take care of us. She loved cooking for the family and having all the children and grandchildren together. Our mom enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, taking care of her beautiful flowers, and mowing her yard with the riding lawnmower - "she was a perfectionist on her yard being pretty". She planted yellow daffodils on both sides of the road in front of their home place (Hwy 4) now Hwy 278. Everyone driving that road enjoyed their beauty, taking pictures or asking for a bouquet, always bringing sunshine and a smile to all. She was a blessed person, doing for others all her life, our encourager, our counselor, very strong sweet mother.
Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Gerald R. "Buddy" Dunn and J. Russell Dunn; two sisters, two brothers, two step-sisters and two step-brothers. She is survived by her husband, Herman W. Dunn of Hampton, son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sharon Dunn of Hampton; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Larry Williams of Greenbrier; daughter-in-law, Lil Dunn of Yuma, AZ; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
