J.T. Harris

James Thomas "J.T." Harris, 88 of Fordyce, died Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was born November 22, 1923 in New Edinburg, Arkansas to the late John Will and Elizabeth Fay Sturgis Harris. He served in the Army during World War 2 and was a retired business and timber owner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Dean Moseley Harris, brothers Virgil & Curtis Harris, and sister Earlene Price.

He is survived by two sons, Tommy Harris and wife Nancy of Rockwall, Texas and Don Harris and wife Susan of Fordyce, Arkansas; one sister, Syble Sharp of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brad Harris and wife Melanie of College Station, Texas; Matt Harris of Austin, Texas; Jason Harris and wife Ashley of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Elizabeth Harris of Ruston, Louisiana; and Daniel Harris of Fordyce, Arkansas; and great grandchild Ty Harris of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10 AM Wednesday at Moseley Cemetery with Dusty Rhodes officiating. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
