Joyce E. Weeks

Joyce E. Weeks, 88 died Monday, Aug 20th 2018 at her home. She was married to Marvin Weeks for 63 years and raised a family of 5 children. She was a devoted mother and Christian.

Joyce worked for Allied Telephone, which later became Alltel. She retired after 22 years of service. Joyce loved playing golf, bowling, bingo at the Country Club and playing cards with friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, C.C. and Myra Brown, sisters Velma Word, Leola McKenny, Ester Crain, grandson James Craig Freer and granddaughter Jenny Weeks. Left to cherish her memory include two sons Randy Weeks (Mary Ann) Sheridan and Larry Weeks Thornton. Three daughters Marilyn Freer (Sonny) Jasper, Barbara Stedman (Danny) Sherwood, Karen Dust (Greg) Fordyce. Brothers Ernie Brown and Glen Brown. Sisters Nila Faye Lackey and Ethel Funderburg. Joyce had 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She had numerous friends, especially best friend Jean Jones. Joyce had a special pet always by her side Chewy.

The family is so thankful for all the care and support of Hospice angels from Pine Bluff. Special thanks also to Dorothy Jacobs and her daughter Tyrunda Hall and Shirley Beaver.
