Joseph Orville Shook

Joseph Orville Shook, 77 of Fordyce, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was born January 21, 1940 in Ellisville, Arkansas to the late Charlie and Avris Dunn Shook. He was also preceded in death by his sister Louise Shook Whiteside and brother-in-law Boyd Whiteside. He was an equipment operator for Georgia-Pacific and a member of the Tinsman Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his niece Mary Gale Satterfield of Bearden; nephews Keith Whiteside and wife Cindy of Star City and Paul Whiteside and wife Teresa of Camden; 11 nieces and nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will follow at 10AM at Oak Grove Cemetery near Chambersville. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
