Johnny Paul Berry

John Paul Berry, 73, of Fordyce passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010. He was born in Monticello, AR to the late Paul S. Berry and Ada O. Cater. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Birdie E. Parker Berry, and a brother, Lawrence Berry.
Survivors include his daughters, Darlene Beene and Ronda Traband (John); grandchildren, Brandy Mays Spradlin, Cobie Bernard, Nikki Weatherly (Burk) and Josh Beene; one great-granddaughter, Ada Beth Berry.
He was a member of the Fordyce Church of Christ and a Mason. He worked for the City of Fordyce for 38 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, watching sports, gardening and drinking coffee with his buddies at Darrell's One Stop. He also looked forward to his Friday night suppers with his dear friend, Charles Hearne.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26 at Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. Memorial donations can be made to the Fordyce Church of Christ or the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
