Johnnie S. Garlington

Johnnie S. Garlington, 78 of Fordyce, died Friday November 4, 2011. He was born May 15, 1933 in Bunn, Arkansas to the late Marion Sill and Norma Sue Keeton Garlington. He was a retired sawyer from Georgia Pacific, a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War, and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church of Fordyce. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Faye Fox.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Pennington Garlington of Fordyce; son Johnnie Michael Garlington and wife Mitzi of Fordyce; daughter Jan Culp of El Dorado; brothers, Marion Jack Garlington of Sherwood and Buster L. Garlington and wife Kay of Fordyce; grandchildren, Capt. Cody and Audrey Culp of Clarksville, TN, Travis and Mary Garlington of Conway, Cory and Crystal Culp of Texarkana, AR; great grandchildren, Owen Tyler Garlington of Conway and Cole Thomas Culp of Clarksville, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are 2 PM Monday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Stoney Point Cemetery. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com .
