John Thomas "Tom" Simmermacher

John Thomas "Tom" Simmermacher, 71, of Hampton died Monday, March 26, 2018 at Ouachita Nursing and Rehab in Camden. He was born November 14, 1946 in Tucumcari, NM. He worked as a carpenter for Fitzhugh Strickland and he was an Army veteran.. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Lloyd Simmermacher and Annie Mae Watson; and one brother, Robert Simmermacher. He is survived by two daughters, Shea Simmermacher of Hampton, and Tera (Karl) Young of El Dorado; three grandchildren, Lucas Simmermacher of Hampton, and Kyle and Mikayla Young of El Dorado; and one uncle, Bill Watson of Hope. Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Nutt officiating.
