John W. Thomas

John W. Thomas, 72 of Bearden died Thursday September 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. Born August 20, 1942 at Camden, he was the son of the late Donnie Thomas and Elsie Launius Howard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Wells Thomas; a daughter, Kathy Ashcroft; and step-father, Ernie Howard. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Finney and her husband Lonnie of Rogers; three sisters, Willene Childers of Bearden, Lawanda Myers of Lincoln, Pauline Ragan of Dumas; five grandchildren, Brian Finney, Whitney Finney, Jeffrey Finney, Mitchell Ashcroft, Elizabeth Ashcroft; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Finney, Talyn Finney. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Moss Cemetery with Colin Sterling officiating.
