John Durwood Steelman

John Durwood Steelman, 78 of Bearden, died Friday May 21, 2021 at Dallas County Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1943 in Dallas County to the late William Hickey Steelman and Zettie Mae Owens Steelman. He is also preceded in death by his brothers; Junior Steelman, James Harmon, and Carl Brady.
He is survived by one brother; Kenneth Steelman and his wife Barbara of Bearden; two sisters; Maxine Szurgot of Burleson, TX and Ruby Tucker of Burleson, TX; best friend, Gary Leslie of Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
John acquired a masters degree and retired from directing at the Columbia Christian School in Magnolia.
