John E. Hodnett

John E. Hodnett, 71, of Fordyce, died Friday July 2, 2010 at the Dallas County Medical Center. Mr. Hodnett was born in Calhoun County, AR, on August 13, 1938 to the late Howell & Sue Hearnsberger Hollis. He was a retired truck driver, & a member of the Thornton First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Gary W. Langley & his wife Sherry of Harmony Grove, AR; a daughter, Jill Drake & her husband Jim of Star City, AR; a brother, Kenny Hodnett & his wife Faye of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Justin Drake of Star City, AR, Ryan Rogers of Star City, AR, Tess Langley of Harmony Grove, AR, & Gabriel Langley of Harmony Grove, AR. Mr. Hodnett was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Mann Hodnett, an infant daughter, & a grandson, Matthew Drake.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday July 5, 2010 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery, with the Rev. Bobby George officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon at the funeral home in Fordyce. The family request memorials be made to the Thornton First Baptist Church, P.O.
