John Melvin Dorey

John Melvin Dorey, 78, of Fordyce, died February 3, 2007 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born December 31, 1928 in Hope, Arkansas. He was an Air Force veteran, a retired logging contractor and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Fordyce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Melvin Dorey and Marila Byrns Dorey and his wife, Evelyn Murry Dorey. He is survived by one son, John Dorey of Burleson, TX; one daughter Dianne Bronson of Jeffersonville, IN; three brothers, Paul Dorey of Malvern, Carlton Dorey of Leola, Merle Dorey of Bearden; two grandchildren, Sarah Forsee and Jonathan Bronson. Graveside services are 10:00 am Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Bethel Cemetery near Bearden with Rev. B.L. Blann and Rev. Paul Dorey officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
