John Derrell Brown

John Derrell Brown, 80 of Fordyce died Wednesday April 10, 2024 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. Born June 4, 1943 in Dallas County, AR he was a son of the late John Henry Brown and Dorothy Corrine Shaddock Brown.
John served in the Arkansas National Guard, was a retired logger, and a member of Zion Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry Brown, Gary Brown, Danny Brown; three sisters, Dorothy Jones, Diane Witham, and Laverne Richardson; and a nephew, Joe Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ginger Brown of Fordyce; two wonderful sons, Greg Brown and his wife, Ranee of Holly Springs, Scott Brown of Fordyce; a brother, Larry Brown of Fordyce; two grandchildren whom he adored, Maci and Madi Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will follow Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Benton Funeral home.
