Joann Steelman

JoAnn Steelman of Holly Springs, AR, the daughter of John Wesley and Essie Mae (Cranford) Pennington and wife of Charles Steelman of 60 years, left her temporary home Tuesday, August 4th at Baptist Health in Conway, Arkansas. The cornerstone of her life was her Faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. She prayed fiercely, loved without condition, and shared the love of Jesus with everyone she met. She didn't just talk about her faith, she lived it.

She loved her family more than anything. Her faith, prayers and her love are a legacy that will live on through all of us. She is proceeded in death by her Father John Wesley, Mother Essie Mae Pennington, and infant sister Johnnie Mae Pennington. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Charles Steelman and daughters Angie (Tony) McMoran of Springdale, AR, Kristen (Scott) Sweat of Holly Springs, Amy (Jerry) Holland of Durant, OK, and Jonathan (Kristin) Steelman of Cabot, AR. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. Abigail (Robert) Dalby, Audrey (Taylor) Alderson, Anna Grace (Robert) McMoran, Ava McMoran, Walker (Haley) Sweat, Kamryn Holland, Jake Steelman, Carter Sweat, Mary Beth Holland, Avery Steelman, and Tucker Sweat. She also leaves behind two younger sisters who she adored, Lynda (Billy) Harper and Glynda (Terry) Thacker, and three nieces who she claimed as her own, Stacey (Todd) Raney, Kim Harper, and Ashley (Jack) Pharr. She also loved her many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and large extended family.

Visitation will take place Friday, August 7th from 6pm to 8pm at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will take place Saturday, August 8th, at 2:00pm at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
