Jo Ann Strickland, 63, of Hampton, died Friday October 7, 2011 at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born in Calhoun County on January 17, 1948 to the late Weldon B. & Annie Ruth Stringfellow. Mrs. Strickland was a retired Teacher, & Owner Operator of F & J Construction & Hampton Grocery & Market. She was also a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Fitzhugh Strickland of Hampton, AR; two sons, Chip DeBoard & his wife Holly of Conway, AR, Brooks Strickland & his wife Teri of Hampton, AR; two daughters, Shannon Grizzle & her husband Danny of Malvern, AR, Stacey Ensminger & her husband Trey of Ferriday, LA; a brother, Dr. Jerry Stringfellow & his wife Janice of Texarkana, AR; two sisters, Jeanette Bennett & her husband Charles of Georgia, Judy Huddleston of Little Rock, AR; eleven grandchildren, & many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday October 10, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church in Hampton. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery with Brother Ricky Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home in Hampton. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
