Jo Ann Miles Earnest

Jo Ann Miles Earnest, age 62 of Thornton, Arkansas, was born August 5, 1960 in Fordyce, and entered into eternal life on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from her home.

She is preceded in death, by her parents Clyde Miles and Gertrude Miles Davis, step-grandson Derrick Watts, and former husband Reece Young.

Her legacy is carried on by her two children Michoal (Jessica) Young of Fordyce, and Sabrina (Scotty) Warner also of Fordyce. She was affectionately referred to as “Ninny” by her seven grandchildren Callie Young, Christian Young, PVT Noah Young, Marc Young, Skyler Warner, Scott Warner, Sidney Warner, and great-grandchild Destiny Watts. She is also survived by her former husband, Calvin Earnest of Many, Louisiana, siblings Barbara Torrence of Fordyce and Ronnie Miles of Rison, and multiple nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. And, enjoyed her time as a bonus mom to Brent Erwin and Stacy Erwin Kinley.

Jo Ann always made it a point to attend her grandchildren’s special events, cheering on countless games, award ceremonies, graduations, and holidays. She loved crafting and never passed up the chance to attend a good yard sale. She was loyal to her community, and spent countless hours volunteering and promoting local business. Some of her favorite pastimes included watching the White Mustang band, attending concerts, and line dancing while in the company of her dear friends Wanda Young, William Young, Marty Erwin, Sandra Draper, her Bastrop Babes, and a host of others.

The family hopes you will come and share some of your favorite stories and memories at the viewing on Sunday from 6-8pm.
