Jimmy Wayne Jones, 67, of Thornton, died Monday July 23, 2012, at the Dallas County Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born in Thornton, AR, on November 10, 1944. He was a retired History Educator, & a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jamie Jones; a son, Richard Jones & his wife Lisa of Rison, AR, & his father, Herbert Jones of Thornton, AR. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Harper Jones.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the Thornton Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike White, & Rev. Steve Drye officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to Gideons International. P.O. Box 316, Fordyce, AR 71742. The family will receive friends at their home, 1019 South Cane, Thornton, AR.
