Jimmy Allen Grice

Jimmy Allen Grice 77 of Ashdown, Arkansas entered his enteral heavenly home on September 21, 2022. He was born on November 9, 1944 in New Edinburg, Arkansas to CB and Allie Mae Childress/ Grice.
Jim’s number one passion was studying and teaching the word of God. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and playing golf. His loved working with wood. He built and remodel house for approximately 40 years. He would say he was happy when he was breathing sawdust.
Mr. Grice surrendered to mission work in 2009, at Millwood Baptist Church. He and his companion, wife would work from one summer to the next raising money to take children to church camp. Most of the time no child had to pay their way. He now knows how many lives he influenced during his life as a missionary.
He was an ordained deacon and minister, as well as a gospel singer. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Ogden, Arkansas.
The pass year he has enjoyed his wood shop once again. He built some of the nicest cabinets you can see. He enjoyed building different items that he and his wife took and sold at craft shows. You could give him a piece of wood and he would make something outstanding out of it.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Wayne. Those left to celebrate his life are his wife, Nancy Grice, sister, Outia Jarrett of New Edinburg, Arkansas, two sons, Kerry (Terri Lynn) Grice of Rondo, AR., Kris Grice of Alexander, Virgina, one daughter, Karmen (Todd) Gartner of Pine Bluff, AR., 2 bonus sons, Steve (Joy), Mike (Leslie) Bell, 2 bonus daughters, Missy and Amber Bell. 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 8 bonus grandchildren, 16 great grands, 7 bonus great grands. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, September, 25, 2022 at First Baptist Church Ogden, Ashdown, AR at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of life will follow at First Baptist Church, Ogden, AR at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 25, 2022 with Bro. Herman Welch and Bro. Kelly Adkinson officiating. Interment service will be held at Mt. Elba / Graves Cemetery, New Edinburg, AR. Saturday September 24,2022 at 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers: Odell Wolf, Randy Wagnon, Randy Grice, Jared Wagnon, Bruce Grice, Hubert Grice; honorary pallbearers: CB Grice, Billy Wayne Grice, James Lisemby, Robert Childress. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
