Jim Ed Mitchell

Jim Ed Mitchell, 58, of Fordyce died Saturday April 16, 2016 at his home. He was born March 29, 1958 at Fordyce. He was a terminal manager at the NGL Pipeline hub at Kingsland. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Mitchell. Survivors include his wife Laura Woodson Mitchell of Fordyce; mother, Jean Mitchell Selman of Fordyce; two sons, Matthew Mitchell of Fordyce and John Russell Mitchell of Fordyce; three brothers, Ronnie Mitchell of Mississippi, Billy Mitchell (Victoria) of Benton, Jason Mitchell (Amber) of Fordyce; two sisters, Sonya Launius (Monte) of Fordyce, Rhonda Thompson (Jerry) of Rison. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. There will be a graveside service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Temperance Hill Cemetery with a celebration of his life at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Fordyce First United Methodist Church.
