Jessie Edward Nalls, 77, of Sparkman died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Arkansas Hospice Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born May 13, 1938 in Sparkman, Arkansas. He was a lifetime horse trader, had owned and operated a service station in Sparkman for twenty two years, worked as an insurance agent for American General Insurance for eight years, and worked for Tom's Chips for two years. He attended Evergreen Church of God in Gurdon, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Iron Nalls and Ellie Charity Vanlandingham Nalls, wife of thirty six years, Ruby Jean Ray Nalls; one son, Charles Edward Nalls; one brother, S.B. Hickman; three sisters, Katie Sue Freeman, Helen Daniell, and Mildred Golden. He is survived by his wife, Louise Nalls of Arkadelphia; one son, Stevie (Debbie) Nalls of Sparkman; four step sons, Mike (Angie) Shearin of Bismarck, Jimmy Shearin of Gurdon, Mark (Jessica) Shearin of Friendship, Matt Shearin of Bismarck; one daughter, Gail (Mike) Massey of Camden; one sister, Mary Lou Humphries of Bearden; four grandchildren, Justin Nalls of Kaufman, TX, Lacey Power of Fouke, Angela Daniell of Thornton, and Jimmy Massey of Camden; eleven step grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; and a host of friends and other family members. Visitation will be Monday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at Sparkman Assembly of God Church in Sparkman with Rev.
