Jerry Wayne Moody, Sr.

Jerry Wayne Moody, Sr. 66, of Bearden died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at his home. He was born July 26, 1944 in Mississippi County. He was a retired logging contractor, a member and trustee of Bearden First Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Moody; son, Jim Edward Moody; sister, Denise Wheeler; Grandpa and Grandma Wheeler and Davis and Louella Bradley, who brought Jerry into their home when he was a young boy. He is survived by his wife, Marcella Moody of Bearden; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Katherine Moody of Fordyce; two sisters, Valerie Pettus and Ann Fleming of Athens, AL; four grandchildren, Tyler and Shelby Moody of Fordyce, Jim and Krysta Moody of Bearden. Visitation will be Sunday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Bearden First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Thomas Stoker and Rev.
