Jerrell Franklin Barner

Jerrell Franklin Barner, 74, of Fordyce died Thursday July 16, 2015 at St. John's Place in Fordyce. Born August 3, 1940 at Carthage, he was a son of the late Archer and Bertha Peters Barner. He was a member of Bearden Missionary Baptist Church and a retired equipment operator. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Barner, a sister, Sarah Sallee; two half-brothers, Alfred Crouse and Charlie Crouse; and a half-sister, Marie Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Nahdyne Barner of Fordyce; four sons, Robert Allan Hollis of Fordyce, Randall Lee Hollis and wife Robin of Warren, Joshawah Dane Barner of Fordyce, Kenneth Franklin Barner of Fordyce; one daughter, Maria Hollis Crane of Fordyce; three grandchildren, Kevin Monroe Crane of Camden, Angela Maria Crane of Fordyce, Keely Madison Barner of Fordyce. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Woolley officiating.
