Jarrod Alan Christmas, 35, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away April 14, 2016. He was born July 27, 1980 in Scottsdale to Alan & Viola Christmas (Carter). He attended Liberty Elementary, and Horizon High, where in band he made many lifelong friends, then graduated from Scottsdale Community College with an Associate degree in Justice Studies. He then found his niche in the military where he was a medic. He was deployed to Afghanistan where he was injured and was medically retired after serving 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Violet, and grandparents, Pete & Hilda Carter of Arkansas and Pat & Florence Christmas of Ohio. He is survived by his parents, brother, Brad, 3 aunts, Ophelia Carter, Patty Miller (George) and Audrey Milas (Bob), and several cousins.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 30th at Harrell United Methodist Church with burial at Campground Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. Please consider donations in his memory to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
