James Samuel Taylor, Jr.

James Samuel "Sammy" Taylor Jr., passed away on Friday August 15, 2008 at the age of 72. He was born in Dallas County Arkansas on a farm homesteaded by his great grandfather in 1857. He lived and died on this farm most all of his life.

A graduate of Princeton High School, and Hendrix College. He was a member of the Dallas County Fair Board, an avid gardner, hunter, and motorcyclist.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy E. Taylor, a son Andrew Taylor & his wife Kami; and a precious granddaughter, Parker Grace Taylor; a sister, Betty Gillispie & her husband Jerry of Midway City California, a niece & nephew, and many cousins, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his father, James Samuel "Sam" Taylor Sr., & his mother, Vestula Livingston Taylor.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am Monday August 18, 2008 at the Tanyard cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday August 17, 2008 at the funeral home in Fordyce.
