James Monroe Simpson, 84, of Fordyce, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Little Rock. He was born September 4, 1928 in Thornton, Arkansas to the late Andrew Jack and Edie Bell Simpson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers David, Ray, and Bill Simpson and sisters Marie Folger, Louise Hathaway, Ann Schindler, and Shirley Wilson.
He is survived by four children, Connie Lane Simpson of Lebanon, Tennessee, Deborah L. Simpson of Thornton, Dustin S. Simpson of Fordyce, and Tonya Simpson White of Panama City, Florida; six grandchildren: Shawn, Debi, Emanuel, Colleen, Samantha, Daniel; four great grandchildren: Brandi, Andi, Malachi, and Dylan Monroe; and two brothers Andrew Jack Simpson and Richard Simpson, both of Florida.
